Meet Elissa

Elissa Brenner’s relationship with movement began at just two years old as a competitive gymnast. From an early age, she was drawn to movement as both a form of expression and discipline developing a deep understanding of the body.

Early Foundations

As a child, Elissa explored a wide range of movement disciplines, including ballet, dance, gymnastics, karate, and horseback riding. Each experience shaped her passion for the body as both an instrument and a form of expression. This laid the foundation for the integrative approach she brings to her work today.

A Life in Movement

After college, Elissa became a certified yoga instructor and relocated to Aspen, Colorado, where she spent eight years as a ski instructor. During this time, she built meaningful, long-term relationships with her clients while combining her love of movement, teaching, and the outdoors. Her time in Aspen further deepened her understanding of functional movement and connection.

Training & Experience

Elissa continued to expand her training through Pilates and the GYROTONIC® Method, refining her ability to guide clients through intelligent, fluid, and restorative movement. Elissa is a graduate of the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) program, where she worked at Beth Israel Medical Center supporting oncology patients through breathwork, gentle movement, and healing practices. In 2024, she completed her GYROTONIC® Method certification.

The Approach

Elissa’s work is rooted in a holistic, integrative approach that considers the body as a whole. Rather than focusing on a single modality, she draws from Pilates, the GYROTONIC® Method, breathwork, and movement therapy to create sessions that are highly personalized and responsive to each individual.

Her focus is not only on building strength, but on restoring alignment, improving mobility, and helping clients feel more connected to their bodies. Whether supporting injury recovery or long-term wellness, her work is thoughtful, intentional, and deeply individualized.
